See for henchmen, them wearing your guild cape makes no sense, since their basically mercinaries that you hire.
But heroes are supposed to join your group, and so that would basically make them a "member" of your guild.

I like this idea in case you have 2 people in the group taking along the same hero you can see which hero is more important to save. i.e. 2 zheds ones a healer, the others a flamer the cape would be more important.
